David Bowie, temazo!!!

Five years

Pushing thru the market square,
so many mothers sighing.
News had just come over,
we had five years left to cry in.

News guy wept and told us
earth was really dying,
cried so much his face was wet,
then i knew he was not lying.

i heard telephones, opera house, favourite melodies;
i saw boys, toys electric irons and T.V.'s.
My brain hurt like a warehouse,
it had no room to spare
i had to cram so many things
to store everything in there,
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people,
and all the nobody people, and all the somebody people.
I never thought i'd need so many people.

A girl my age went off her head,
hit some tiny children;
if the black hadn't a-pulled her off,
i think she would have killed them.

A soldier with a broken arm,
fixed his stare to the wheel of a Cadillac.
A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest,
and a queer threw up at the sight of that.
i think i saw you in an ice-cream parlour,
drinking milk shakes cold and long,
Smiling and waving and looking so fine,
don't think you knew you were in this song.

And it was cold and it rained so i felt like an actor,
and i thought of Ma and i wanted to get back there,
Your face, your race, the way that you talk,
i kiss you, you're beautiful, i want you to walk.

We've got five years, stuck on my eyes.
We've got five years, what a surprise.
We've got five years, my brain hurts a lot.
We've got five years, that's all we've got.

Cinco años

Empujándose en el supermercado,
muchas madres sollozando.

Escuché teléfonos, operas domésticas, melodías favoritas;

golpeó a un niño pequeño;

te beso, eres tan bella, quiero caminar a tu lado.

Ahora, a cantar!!

Unsent Alanis Morrissette

Unsent/Sin enviar

Dear matthew
I like you a lot
I realize you’re in a relationship
with someone right now
and I respect
that I would like you to know
that if you’re ever single
in the future
and you want to come visit me in california
I would be open to spending time with you
and finding
out how old you were
when you wrote
your first song

dear jonathan
I liked you too much
I used to be attracted to boys
who would lie to me
and think solely about themselves
and you were plenty self-destructive
for my taste at the time
I used to say
the more tragic the better the truth is
whenever I think of the early 90’s
your face comes up
with a vengeance like it was yesterday

dear terrance
I love you muchly
you’ve been nothing
but open hearted
and emotionally available and supportive
and nurturing and consummately there for me
I kept drawing you in
and pushing you away
I remember how beautiful it was to fall asleep
on your couch
and cry in front of you for the first time
you were the best platform
from which to jump beyond myself what
was wrong with me

dear marcus
you rocked my world
you had a charismatic way
about you with the women
and you got me seriously thinking
about spirituality and you wouldn’t let me get away
with kicking my own ass
but I could never really feel relaxed and looked out
for around you though
and that stopped us from going any further
than we did and it’s kinda too bad
because we could’ve had much more fun

dear lou
we learned so much
I realize we won’t be able to talk for some time
and I understand that as I do you
the long distance thing
was the hardest and we did as well as we could
we were together during a very tumultuous time
in our lives I will always have your back
and be curious about you
about your career about your whereabouts

En español es:

Querido Matthew.
Te quiero mucho,
y espero que en éstos momentos,
tengas una buena novia,
y lo respeto.
Quisiera que supieras,
que si algún día vuelves a estar soltero,
en el futuro,
y tengas pensado venir a visitarme a California,
te recibiré con los brazos abiertos,
dispuesta a pasar
todo el tiempo que haga falta contigo,
recordando los años que tenías
cuando escribiste tu primera canción.

Querido Jonathan.
Te quise demasiado.
Solía sentirme atraída por tipos
que tenían por costumbre mentirme,
y que pensaban exclusivamente en sí mismos.
Y tu eras, en mi opinión,
muy autodestructivo por aquel entonces.
Solía decir que cuanto más trágico,
más sincera es la verdad.
Siempre que pienso en aquellos primeros años 90,
tu rostro aparece en mi mente,
como si fuera una venganza del pasado.

Querido Terrance.

Querido Marcus.
Hiciste temblar mi mundo.
Tenías un modo ciertamente carismático
de tratar a las mujeres,
he hiciste que pensara seriamente
en la espiritualidad.
Y no me dejaste marchar, pateando mi culo,

Siempre me quedará tu espalda,
y la curiosidad de cómo estás tú,
tu trabajo, tus asuntos.

Bizarre love triangle

Bizarre love triangle/ Triángulo amoroso/ Frente

Every time I think of you
I get a shot right through
into a bolt of blue
Its no problem of mine
but its a problem I find
Living a life that I cant leave behind
Theres no sense in telling me
The wisdom of a fool wont set you free
But thats the way that it goes
And its what nobody knows
And every day my confusion grows
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
Im waiting for that final moment
Youll say the words that I cant say

I feel fine and I feel good
I feel like I never should
Whenever I get this way,
I just dont know what to say
Why cant we be ourselves like we were yesterday
Im not sure what this could mean
I dont think youre what you seem
I do admit to myself
That if I hurt someone else
Then wed never see just what were meant to be
Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
Im waiting for that final moment
Youll say the words that I cant say

Me siento bien y me siento a gusto
hago daño a alguien

When the day is long
and the night, the night is yours alone,
When you’re sure
you’ve had enough of this life,
well hang on
Don’t let yourself go,
’cause everybody cries
and everybody hurts sometimes

Sometimes everything is wrong.
Now it’s time to sing along
When your day is night alone,
(hold on, hold on)
If you feel like letting go,
(hold on)
When you think you’ve had too much
of this life,
well hang on

‘Cause everybody hurts.
Take comfort in your friends
Everybody hurts.
Don’t throw your hand.
Oh, no. Don’t throw your hand
If you feel like you’re alone, no, no, no,
you are not alone

If you’re on your own in this life,
the days and nights are long,
When you think you’ve had too much
of this life
to hang on

Well,
everybody hurts sometimes,
Everybody cries.
And everybody hurts sometimes
And everybody hurts sometimes.
So, hold on, hold on
hold on, hold on, hold on
Everybody hurts.
You are not alone

espera
no te dejes llevar,

aguanta
Si sientes como si te fueras,
aguanta
Cuando sientes que has tenido
suficiente de ésta vida,
espera

Porque todo el mundo sufre.
Consuélate con tus amigos
Todo el mundo sufre.
No tires la toalla.
Si crees que estás sólo,
estas equivocado.
No estás solo

Si vas a solas en ésta vida,
los días y noches son muy largos
Cuando sientes que has tenido
suficiente de ésta vida
como para esperar

Bueno,
todo el mundo sufre alguna vez
Y llora
Todo el mundo sufre alguna vez
Todo el mundo sufre alguna vez
Pero aguanta,
aguanta
Todo el mundo sufre,
pero no estás solo.

Dejo la canción

Luka/ Suzanne Vega

Luka

My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you’ve seen me before

If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble. some kind of fight
Just don’t ask me what it was
Just don’t ask me what it was
Just don’t ask me what it was

I think it’s because
I’m clumsy
I try not to talk too loud
Maybe it’s because I’m crazy
I try not to act too proud

They only hit until you cry
After that you don’t ask why
You just don’t argue anymore
You just don’t argue anymore
You just don’t argue anymore

Yes I think I’m okay
I walked into the door again
Well, if you ask that’s what I’ll say
And it’s not your business anyway
I guess I’d like to be alone
With nothing broken,
nothing thrown

Just don’t ask me how I am

My name is Luka
I live on the second floor
I live upstairs from you
Yes I think you’ve seen me before

If you hear something late at night
Some kind of trouble, some kind of fight
Just don’t ask me what it was
Just don’t ask me what it was
Just don’t ask me what it was

And they only hit until you cry
After that, you don’t ask why
You just don’t argue anymore
You just don’t argue anymore
You just don’t argue anymore

he intentado muchas veces no hablar muy alto
Quizás sea porque estoy loca
he intentado muchas veces no ser tan soberbia

he cruzado la puerta otra vez

Where is the love. Black eyed peas

Where is the love/Dónde está el amor

What’s wrong with the world, mama
People livin’ like they ain’t got no mamas
I think the whole world addicted to the drama
Only attracted to things that’ll bring you trauma
Overseas, yeah, we try to stop terrorism
But we still got terrorists here livin’
In the USA, the big CIA
The Bloods and The Crips
and the KKK
But if you only have love for your own race
Then you only leave space to discriminate
And to discriminate only generates hate
And when you hate then you’re bound to get irate, yeah
Madness is what you demonstrate
And that’s exactly how anger works and operates
Man, you gotta have love
just to set it straight
Take control of your mind and meditate
Let your soul gravitate to the love, y’all, y’all

People killin’, people dyin’
Children hurt and you hear them cryin’
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
‘Cause people got me,
got me questionin’
Where is the love (Love)

It just ain’t the same, always unchanged
New days are strange, is the world insane
If love and peace is so strong
Why are there pieces of love that don’t belong
Nations droppin’ bombs
Chemical gasses fillin’ lungs of little ones
With ongoin’ sufferin’ as the youth die young
So ask yourself is the lovin’ really gone
So I could ask myself really what is goin’ wrong
In this world that we livin’ in people keep on givin’ in
Makin’ wrong decisions,
only visions of them dividends
Not respectin’ each other, deny thy brother
A war is goin’ on but the reason’s undercover
The truth is kept secret, it’s swept under the rug
If you never know truth then you never know love
Where’s the love, y’all, come on (I don’t know)
Where’s the truth, y’all, come on (I don’t know)
Where’s the love, y’all

People killin’, people dyin’
Children hurt and you hear them cryin’
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
‘Cause people got me,
got me questionin’
Where is the love (Love)

I feel the weight of the world on my shoulder
As I’m gettin’ older, y’all, people gets colder
Most of us only care about money makin’
Selfishness got us followin’ our wrong direction
Wrong information always shown by the media
Negative images is the main criteria
Infecting the young minds faster than bacteria
Kids wanna act like what they see in the cinema
Yo’, whatever happened to the values of humanity
Whatever happened to the fairness in equality
Instead of spreading love we’re spreading animosity
Lack of understanding, leading lives away from unity
That’s the reason why sometimes I’m feelin’ under
That’s the reason why sometimes I’m feelin’ down
There’s no wonder why sometimes I’m feelin’ under
Gotta keep my faith alive till love is found
Now ask yourself

People killin’, people dyin’
Children hurt and you hear them cryin’
Can you practice what you preach
And would you turn the other cheek
Father, Father, Father help us
Send some guidance from above
‘Cause people got me,
got me questionin’
Where is the love (Love)

Con "The Blood and the Crips"

Gente matando, gente muriendo
los niños heridos, y tu oyéndolos llorar
¿Puedes cumplir aquello que prometes?
¿Y poner la otra mejilla?
Padre, padre, padre, ayúdanos
enséñanos un camino que seguir
porque la gente me hace,
me hace cuestionarme

Y me podré preguntar a mi mismo
que es lo que ha ido mal
En éste mundo en el que vivimos,
la gente mira para sí mismo
Tomando decisiones equivocadas,
mirando sólo por su propio beneficio económico
Sin respetar a los demás,
rechazando al hermano
Una guerra se está desatando,
pero sus motivos están encubiertos
Al igual que la verdad,
barrida bajo la alfombra
Si nunca llegas a saber la verdad,
nunca conocerás el amor
¿Donde está el amor?
Yo no lo sé
¿Donde está la verdad?
Yo no lo sé

Gente matando, gente muriendo
los niños heridos, y tu oyéndolos llorar
¿Puedes cumplir aquello que prometes?
¿Y poner la otra mejilla?
Padre, padre, padre, ayúdanos
enséñanos un camino que seguir
porque la gente me hace,
me hace cuestionarme

me siento deprimido
me siento acabado
me siento deprimido
Voy a mantener mi fe despierta,
hasta que encuentre el amor

Gente matando, gente muriendo
los niños heridos, y tu oyéndolos llorar
¿Puedes cumplir aquello que prometes?
¿Y poner la otra mejilla?
Padre, padre, padre, ayúdanos
enséñanos un camino que seguir
porque la gente me hace,
me hace cuestionarme

Someday/ Regina Spektor

Someday/ Algunos días

Somedays aren’t yours at all
They come and go as if they’re someone elses days
They come and leave you behind someone elses face
And it’s harsher than yours
And colder than yours

They come in all quiet
sweep up
and then they leave
And you don’t hear a single floor board creak
They’re so much stronger than the friends you try to keep by your side

Downtown, downtown
I’m not here,
not anymore
I’ve gone away
Don’t call me
don’t write

I’m in love with your daughter
I want to have her baby
I’m in love with your daughter
So can I please

Downtown, downtown
I’m not here
Not anymore

Me he ido.
No me llames.
No me escribas.

Estoy enamorada de tu hija.
Quiero tener a su hijo.
Estoy enamorado de tu hija,
así que, por favor,…

El centro de la ciudad.
Ya no estoy aquí,
nunca más estaré.

Y la canción dice...
